Default What is this?

I hit ice last night and my car slid into a ditch, and this popped off and Im not quite sure what it is, One of the wires came into two piecess as you can see. and the other 2 are still intact. and today is christmas and I have to go to to the families house for christmas dinner. would it be a bad idea to bolt it or ziptye it and drive it?

That almost looks like a charcoal canister and the cradle that holds it up. Did you get an EVAP code on the check engine light? Im not familiar with the canister setups past 2004.

Im surprised your not getting codes, but no it wont hurt any thing.

You should get under there and plug the vacum lines though.

BTW. your car is going to smell like gas big time when summer rolls around.

I would take it to a dealer and see if they can re-attach it.

And it will fail emissions. But the fuel vapor leak can be a potential fire hazard, or at least make you feel ill due to fuel fumes.
