Parts ID:Throttle Body/Plenum
Just bought my son a 2003 GT for Christmas. We are wanting to do some mods. A person locally has the following throttle body and plenum for sale. the ad advises that it is stock also off a 2003 GT. My concern is that on our GT it has the pony logo on top of the plenum and has a square shape instead of the round one as shown. Can any one confirm that they had two different style plenums for the 2003 Gt or is this an after market one. If it is after market is there any way to identify it.
thanks for the assistancehttp://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/2097926485.html

I have an '04 GT and this part doesn't look like it's stock to me. If it's stock, it should have Ford stamped on the housing. It might be an aftermarket part that is a direct replacement for the stocker. I may be wrong about this not being stock though.

well the throttle body to me looks stock. as for the plenum, i cant tell you but it doesnt look stock. but with the guy asking 75 bucks, i'd pass not knowing anything about it unless someone can post up the brand and stuff. try emailing the guy? if he doesnt know you can ask him for the part number that should be stamped to it and you can google that.
btw you can buy a brand new C+L plenum for 140 on AMM, or 240 for a BBK plenum/TB combo. or you can go on forum classifieds or ebay and find tbs and/or plenums for cheap also and you'll atleast know the brand and stuff.
