Default F-ustang

Hi everyone, I got my hands on a nice 1991 F-150.

The motor was swaped for a 1995 5.0L Mustang with the big GT header. (GT40 if I'm not wrong.

Sas the title says, I named my project "F-ustang" since I'm gonna be working on an hybrid car/pickup muscle vehicule.

I'm quite new with muscle car ! I got great basic/intermediary skills in mechanics but I'm missing the knowledge.

My goal is to do some serious tire burning this summer.

Where should I start ? Cold air intake ? Spark Plugs ? Cables ? Ignition overhaul ? Injection upgrade ? Timming adjustement ?

I'll be running this as a "budget" build. So I don't know if you guys would have suggestions on where to begin ...

Thanks for your help.

Default Question

Hi guyz, I've decided to go with the first things that makes sense. (at least for me)

The ignitions system !

I'm think rotor/cap + spark plugs + cables + coil(sound like a tune-up).
I want to upgrade the ignition system as well.

I've heard that "Brisk" spark plugs performs quite well. Do you have some comments on them ?

Whats cables would you recommend ?

What ignition system would you recommend me ? MSD ?

Thanks for your input !

MSD or Mallory make good ignitions. You might look into some 1st gen Lightning stuff. The intake manifold and distributor won't work because they had 351W's in them but CAI's and such should work.
A good exhaust is always a good place to start. Does the truck have the Mustang Computer or truck computer? Does the truck have Mass Air?

Oh, by the way, welcome to the forum!!
