Default what size wheel??

I am am going to buy the 03-04 style wheel for my gt. The only thing is, i dont know whether i should get the 17s or the 18s? no matter what size wheel i decide to go with, i am going with the 9" wide wheel in front and the 10.5 inch wheel in back... i just cant decide whether to get 17s or 18's. If any of you have a pic of a any mustang lowered on either the of wheels that would be great....

thanx

I would reccomend the 17's personally. 18's aren't too much better looking. Plus 17's are lighter. Also, you only need 17's for a Cobra brake system!

I'm not sure what year you've got, so this is way I feel about wheel sizes on Mustangs:
- 17s for anything up to the '98.
- 18's for the 99-04 Stangs.
- 18-20 on the '05's

my car is lowered with the 17s on it. I really need the deepdish 18s for next year though.

If your car is a 99+ you should go with the 18s and the 10.5" rear rims. I think the 9" fronts might end up being a little wide though.....depending on the tire.

I for one would go w/ the 18's. But i want mine to stand out also. If you are lowering it, the bigger rim, the better. I know 95's came w/ the optional 17 and why would i want a factory size wheel? Besides, when somebody rolls up next to you, its sounds a lot better when they ask you how big a rim you got, and you say 18's. But, all in all, its not much different. Get the 18's and be a little original.....

if you have a 99-04 get 18x9's in the front and 18x10.5's, the widest tires you can run is 275's in the front and 335's in the rear but if your cars lowered you should consider coming down a couple sizes due to a little scraping.. just run 245's in the front and 295's in the rear and you will be fine
