Default Dump or slip?

when you guys run from a dig, do you dump the clutch or slip it? I've heard dumping it is horrible for the clutch and slipping it "glazes" it.. obviously theyre both bad. which is worse and which is more effective? Or maybe it depends on your car?

I think it depends on the car's power, gearing and the traction of the tires....but for most people with street tires, slipping the clutch is best (a quick slip).

if you have top of line tires it's better to dump it right? the reason you can't with street tires is because you spin too much?

It's got everything to do with wheelspin.. Some spin is gonna happen for sure, but if you're sending up billowing clouds of tire smoke you're wasting time money and also probably losing the race.

Just slip the clutch as little as necessary to maximize acceleration.
