94 Convertible - Top comes unhooked while driving
I have a 94 convertible - Problem is the driver's side comes un latched while driving down the road (dangerous needless to say). I can't find any screws to adjust the tension of the hook.
The handle itself does not unlatch, it's just the j-hook comes loose. Has anyone else experienced this? if so, any fixes?

RE: 94 Convertible - Top comes unhooked while driving
is it your daily driver? if not, i would make it a roadster[8D]
can you get a new hook and clip or bend it to make it tighter? i havent experience this but i have driven my share of vert stangs (one was a 1998) and i am familiar with the latching mechanism

RE: 94 Convertible - Top comes unhooked while driving
i haven't inspected my vert locks to closely and i'm at work but Typically they have a screw (hex) holding them, loosen it and turn the little J clockwise to make it tighter. this may not be the case on mustangs...like i said, didn't look to closely since the front of my cars tend to be smashed, but every other convertible i've had has been that way.
