What To Look For
Hey Team,
Well, after being here in the US for a couple of years I'm finally going to be getting the *** into gear and getting myself a Mustang in the next couple of months. What I'll be looking at is a '99-'04, hopefully a GT but I'll be more than happy with a V6 at this stage.
The advice I'm after is what pitfalls to look for. What are the problem areas that I need to keep an eye on when I'm looking at potential cars to buy.
Anything greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Paul

Paul, I really can't speak for the reliability of the V-6 version of the New Edge but for the GT it is a very reliable and durable car in it's stock form. Which ever car you go with checking the car fax is a must. Good luck...

In the GT model, '01-'04 engine is a much more reliable engine.
In the V6 model, all years were reliable.
To add to this, the question is to ask yourself "What do you plan to do with the car ?" ie racecar, street car, show car, or daily driver. Nothing like wasting money, when desiding on going in a different direction.
Buy a Mustang that is close to your final plans.
