i like the more throaty low rumble an h pipe give you but i also like power and not a big fan of the raspy sound an X pipe gives, i justa wanted to kno roughly what the power difrrence is between the two? is it a big strech? If anybody has swithched between the two i would like to know your thoughts. thanks

If you like the sound of the h-pipe get the h-pipe. The power difference between the two is minimal at best (1 or 2 rwhp).

I think the X pipe being raspy is way over played. Maybe an O/R X with a chambered muffler will give a raspy tone at certain RPMS. My mustang had a catted x with both MAC and SSS terminators and neither sounded raspy. My 04 GTO has L/T catted X and flows and it sounds far from raspy. True the power difference between the H and X is negligible.

Very small difference. Go with what sound you like best.

It's really the wrong combination of exhaust parts that give you the raspy sound, and not so much the mid pipe itself. With that said there is no meaningful power difference between the x and h pipe. Definitely buy based on sound.
