what's the most power you've heard someone get out of the old third gen windsor (4.9) "5.0" that came in the fox bodies?

Again, what level of modification? A race block with Brodix-Neal heads turning 10,000rpm is gonna make a ton more power than a stock block with stock heads turning 5,000 rpm.

Depends on how close to blueprint the block is, but general rule of thumb is around 500hp at the crank with a conservative tune.
