I just recently bought a 05 Focus ST...

My stang is taking a break until the new 514 from ford is put in.

But anyways I wanted to see exactally what everyone thinks the best Oil and Filter would be to use.

I was thinking AMSoil and a Hastings filter......

Everyone will have different opinions. I prefer QS Advanced Synthetic and a Mobil 1 Oil Filter. M1 tends to be the best oil filter on the market.

Honestly it doesnt really matter all oil and filters are good enough for the job.Whn you go to jiffy lube they put the worst filter made a group 7 and it works fine. For the amount of time they are on the car it doesnt really matter what you use,but if you want something decent get a fram filter with mobil one or syntech.

Fram oil filters suck. They are some of the worst.

Wix filters are EXCELLENT filters. They are some of the best around. They are also repacaged as "Napa Premium" as well as Mopar OEM filters. Puralators are Pretty decent filters for the money. Not THE best, but they are still a pretty good value.

As for Oil, You cant really go wrong with any oil in particular, as long as it meets all ASE specs.

I Almost ALWAYS use castrol GTX. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but its great oil. Mobile Is very good stuff as well, but I usually dont like Buying Mobile because of the company. Lucas and Kendall are also Big names when it comes to racing oils.

Whats more important than the Brand of oil is weight of the oil. You MUST make sure your using the correct weight.
