Might be getting a '98
Hello guys, i am looking to trade my 2k ford ranger for a 98 mustang. Test drove it today and i like the feel of it, but have some questions before i actually trade.
The clutch is pretty stiff..is that a good or bad thing?
The passenger side air bag is missing, can i just glue the cover back on? It is on there now, but it wobbles when you drive.
Anything i should look out for it with it having 162k miles?
Thanks guys! Hopefully this time next week i will be a mustang owner.

Welcome to the forums.
as for the clutch, stiff isn't necessarily a bad thing. I replaced my original clutch with a performance one and its waaay tighter. I guess it depends on how stiff you think it is. good luck with whatever you decide.

If the airbag is missing, make sure that the car hasn't been in an accident. Get a car-fax report on it before the trade. I'd also get the airbag replaced. Better to be safe then sorry. With that many miles, I'd take it to a local mechanic and have them give it a good inspection. You don't want anything to pop up and bight you in the *** later on down the road. Good luck...
Then definitely get a car-fax report to find out what caused it to be totaled in the first place, then have a mechanic check it out.
If your going to trade your truck for a salvage titled car, your truck must be pretty messed up...

I am for sure going to have it check out. And my truck isn't messed up, but its 11 years old with 204k miles....i can't expect gold. I don't see what is so bad about a salvage title when it appears to be fixed correctly. My truck was crashed and i had to replace the front end, so i can't just say no to someone elses crashed vehicle (no salvage title on mine though).
