good stuff, also as good or better is redline and amsoil...why I like the latter 2 is 1 my dad was a mech. for a large trucking co. who rebuilt engines when they switched to red line oil in the 80's they were getting over 100k more miles out of the engine...amsoil makes some of the best oil filter around.. I think hastings makes them for'em. with syth. oil you can do 5k oil changes and makes the price about the same a reg oil..it's really a myth about the 3k oil change as syth. doesn't break down as soon and isn't acceptable to the gas in the oil..one note if your oil is clean 1-2 k into it run your oil isn't working as it has deregant in it to clean...remember any oil can get you 100k miles if you want to keep the car for the other 100k then go synth.<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">

You'll free up in the neighborhood of 10 horses with all synthetics in your drivetrain. Nice gain for pocket change.

Mellowyello, I have a suggestion (I used to run Royal Purple myself).

It is good stuff, however, the price mark up does not verify the markup for it. Try Mobil 1 Synthetic. Extremely good stuff for about 1/2 the price (at least down here). You won't be able to tell the difference between the two untill you get in the microscopic level, won't show a difference on dynos or anything.

They also make ATF fluid.

I will personally only run synthetics in any vehicle I own now or in the future.

here is my experience with royal purple. my truck goes buy how the oil is breaking down. that is how it tells you to change your oil. before i was using valoline syn. in it and i would have to changed it at 3800miles and the past two oil changes i have gotten 5300miles out of the first one. the light never came on. my last change i got 4200 miles on it. and never came on. and when i checked it. it was still purple in color after 4200 miles on it. so its worth the 5bucks a quart even at 6 quarts i need.
