2008 GT trans grinding when cold
#2
It is a known problem. There's a TSB for it.

I thought I had it, but had no grinding, just rough feeling. But that's just the way my trans is, especially with mobil 1 fluid in it. For you, all I can say is set it up so the dealer can replicate it (leave it overnight if necessary), and they should be willing to perform it. I didn't even buy mine at the dealer and they performed it for me, even without the grinding. Felt the exact same afterwards with fresh synchros, but again have never had grinding gears which I'm thankful for.
If they aren't willing to perform it, go somewhere else that is. Dealers with crappy service deserve no business at all.

Yea I think this a know problem. I have a 10 GT and when my car is cold going from 1st to 2nd I get like a crunchy sound. I just try to shift a little slower until warm. However, when the car is warmed up it goes away.
