I was cruising around in my new 2003 cobra and ran into a Mercedes I hadn't seen before, a C32 AMG Kompressor, no big deal right? I was wrong, very wrong. I was side by side with this young punk who started flexing and letting it be knwon that he wanted action, so I obliged figuring it was some chumperoni beefed up C class benz. We got on it and entered the freeway which had light traffic..To my surprise the C32 had a car length on me and we were at speeds of 80-100 at this point. To make a short story shorter, we terminated the race at about 130 mp's and I never gained that car length back, nor did I lose anymore ground either. I'm an import basher just as much as the next guy, but I'll give props to that C32, which ended up being an aluminum block super charged V6 with 350Hp....Anybody else see one of those on the road?
Yeah, what's going on with Mercedes these days? Just saw on Car and Driver television this weekend that damn AMG E55 ran a 12.4 in the quarter. And it's a big sedan car! Watch out for that one too!
the better be fast though for the price you pay for one of them things. i would rather get the cobra. its cheaper and if you put a supercharger on it it would be bad a$$
The Mercedes cost about $10,000 more than the Cobra and is better in every way. A Cobra is just a Ford after all. I am not a Ford basher, but I can't understand why anyone would choose a 2003 Cobra over a 2003 C32, unless you want that brute Cobra experience. If you took both drivetrains out of the equation you couldn't find any part on the Corba that is better or will last longer than the Mercedes. I live in an affluent area and I have seen several of these running around. THEY ROCK. If you think you got beat bad in a striahgt line wait till you try to turn that boat (Cobra).
