It delivers fuel to injectors. You can think of it as a common reservoir to which fuel is pumped from the fuel tank, from this reservoir fuel is equally distributed to all injectors. Fuel rail is two rails actually, one on each side, connected together by hoses. It is located on top of fuel injectors, on sides of the intake manifold.
Purpose of fuel rail is to distribute equal amounts of fuel to all injectors.

A fuel rail is what supplies fuel to each injectoe. They run along the top of each set of injectors on either side of the plenum. If you look here in this pic, it is the long silver bars on either side of the blower.
