Default is a 250 hp 4cyl the same as a 250hp v8?

If you took two mustangs exactly the same and had a 250hp 4cylinder in it and a 250hp v8 in it are they virtually as fast as each other? And then its really just a gas guzzler for one then the other?

No, most likely the V8 will have more torque, so it should be quicker. If the 4 cylinder had a turbo though, it might be very close.

In theory the 4 banger will be lighter. That'll help the 4banger. If your talking about your fox against any mordern performance 4 banger. your in trouble the way you sit.

A 250hp 4 banger will more than likely make its power higher in the power band as well And would likely have a higher redline. I would hazard a guess that this plus more torque would make the V8 better off the line, but perhaps not as strong at say..passing.

That's pretty much what i'm asking, so really it almost hurts me to have a V8 and such low HP...

Most modern performance 4 bangers are turbo'd. So they'll be light, have as much torque as HP. Only down side is most are front wheel drive and can launch for ****. Start modding. The 5.0 loves the mods.

It never hurts to have a v8, you just have a different power band.
