I have a 1970 mach 1, with a 351c and a FMX transmission, there is some kind of linkage that runs from the steering column to a small arm on the Tanny,,not the main shift linkage,,the small linkage is spring loaded,,the rod that connects it to the steering column has a long slot in it at the transmission,,it appears that it doe's nothing,,any clues as to what this is???
