yup, they ran out of the 3.8's or something. the 3.9 is actually from the windstar van - or so i've heard.

the 6's have open diffs, but on dirt its so easy to spin them so both wheels will spin. you drive a rear wheel drive car, your going to drift, its like mother nature, you cant help it.

but the trak loc will minimize it. that's odd that they ran out of 3.8s. are the 3.9s more powerful?

everyone says that they are the same...don't know if the 3.8's are jealous or if it's true. From my point of view there really isn't much info on them. When I bought my car the sticker said 3.8, but the engine has a plate that clearly says 3.9

yea a possi-trac or a ford trac-lok will help but if your on dirt expect to get loose, and the trak-lok wont really help for corners on wet roads that much. but youll get better straight line traction.

Is this a serious question??Of course a car is going to spin the tires on wet and dirt roads!!!I have a helpful word of advice ....lift the foot alittle and it will not spin the tires or you could put some 33 inch bfg mud terrains on it and it will have great traction in the mud

Sometimes when i drive my stang in the snow and on ice its all out of control?????(Only when I floor it thou)Does anyone know how to fix this??Cause I really need to get this straightened out

REALLY?!?! Is there any way you can post a pic?

......obviously, I believe you, I have just never heard of that. The 3.9L V6 was in the top of the line freestar and makes 193 HP, but I have never heard of them putting it in the mustang.
