since I bought the car last year it didn't work so It is always is in gear when parked so I thought I would try and fix it yesterday so I red some forums on how to fix the problem so I adjusted the back brakes like some people said to do and still the lever goes up easy
what else to do ?

 

Check your e-brake pads?

Either that or there's a problem with your cable, whether a hook snapped or it needs adjusted/tightened in the e-brake handle. Trace it from the axle back to the handle and find the problem.
