Default hid problems

So i recently purchased new ballasts for my fog light hids (water proof 1s) and not even a week later my right fog wont turn on at all while the left 1 will. I had this problem before but found out the ballast was bad. Any ideas wat this could be? the new ballast isnt even a week old! PLEASE HELP!

Try hooking up the working ballast to the side that isn't working. That will let you know if the issue is with the ballast again

Where are your grounds? Make sure if not connected to your negative battery post that whatever bolt they are under is making contact to bare metal.

This.. it'll tell what the problem is right off hand.. Wiring or ballast

Reminds me I need to fix mine. Had my driver's side fog break it's bracket and fell over to the side. Just held on my the spring tensioner. Now neither side lights up. The switch lights up as if they are on but nothing outside. Need to get under there and super glue my bracket and affix the light back. If that dont solve it then im screwed. last time I wired fog lights was when I was 17 in 1986 and I did something wrong The wire to the switch in my car instantly went bright red and melted

GOOD LUCK

Exactly. And make sure (especially if it's the ballast) that the ballast is not getting wet. I had that problem with my HIDs in the past. The company claimed the ballast were waterproof but they weren't. Once I moved them I stopped having issues.
