Default Low Engine Oil

Just bought my 2013 GT 3 days ago and after 200+ miles of driving with back roads spirited driving yesterday, I casually check the engine oil level this morning and found out it's 2 litters low from the top mark. I was wondering if this hurts the brand new engine during those drive?

I went to Autozone right away and bought 2 litters of Motorcraft 5W20. It has 3100+ miles from Carmax when I got it. I'm thinking the Carmax tech did know that this cars takes 8 litters of oil as supposed to 5-6 litters on most engines.

Should I worry or it's no big deal? TIA for any advice.

Ron

Well the motor is past the break in point, so unless you hear any knocking or pinging.. I'd say you'll be fine

Thanks, man. No knocking or pinging sound thanks, God. By the way I read in the oil section that this is common around first or second oil change.

Definitely checking my oil level every gas fill up now.

A quart of oil could have been forgotten on the oil change, if it was done before you bought it..Missing around a quart shouldn't hurt it. Just throwing that out there.
