arguement
ok as u all know i have been wanting to raise my compression but i keep hearing this other side from someone else. first off they say i need to get aftermarket heads to even think about this if so y? several of you all on here said if i just get them milled it will raise the compression if i do this is there any side effect such as PTV problems? is a higher compression car streetable? and fill me on nething else i should know all suggestions are appreciated
You can bump the compression on the stock E7's no problem by having them milled. However, if you're going to bother why not throw a set of GT40 heads on and the Cobra intake. (I have both if you need them)
Especially if you have the heads ported and a valve job done. You're probably looking at another 50-75 hp if you have them done right.

well i am ordering valve springs, double roller timing chain, and prolly a trick flow intake. i also have roller rockers and a cam that i will be putting in soon thats why i am asking about have having my heads milled to bump the compression to at least 10 and i was also wanting to have them ported while i was at how much of a gain in horse power do u think i can expect? i was hoping for at least 30-40 with everything being conservative. is this a good guesS?
but like i said if i want to get them ported and milled just to get a few extra ponies out of it before i can start working on my real motor thats going to be in the car one day which is a 351w. does neone have a idea how much it would cost to get it ported and milled?
You're probably looking at $300-400 for a good port and valve job on top of having them milled. It's almost not worth it. Watch eBay and see if you can find a set of used Trick Flows for $500-600.
Then you can use them on your 351. (I think)

if it cost that much i wouldn't even bother with it. i talked to a guy around here and he said it would cost about 22 dollars a head to have it milled and then he wasn't sure about have them ported i appreciate all the help
