Default 71- 73 mach 1

I wasn't sure where to make this tread but anyways...

So I was driving to the grocery store the other day and saw a 71-73 mach one parked in this building that has been out of business for years.

To me it was like finding gold and I want it !!!

thing is it looks like it;s in horrible shape I live in south FL and the climate is horrible for cars that sit out and collect rust.

I plan to somehow get in contact with the owner... where there's a will there's away.

My question is... How much would a mach 1 go for ?

as far as i know.. it's in horrible shape and probably doesn't run.

If it's a 429 car. Which I doubt. It might be worth restoring and would have some collector value. If it's a smaller engine car like a 302 It's not worth much at all. You be better off looking elsewhere. I had 2 71 Machs. Love the bodystyle.

Yeah looking at it it look like a 71 if anything ... but i wasn't sure it was kinda far away and there was a privacy chain link fence distorting my view...

also my knowledge on older mustangs isn't very good. my guess is that the owner of that shopping mall is using that location as a storage space.

I'm gonna ask one of the small business owners in that shopping mall for the number of the owner to see if i can get in contact to who ever owns that car...

if it ends up being a dud i'll probably knock on the door of one of my neighbors.. he has a 65 mustang rusting away on his driveway

Could be a nice find if it has a 351 Cleveland. Just how bad does the rust look exactly. I have a 72 Mach 1 not in the best shape, does not run could if I put the intake and carb back on it. But in it's current state I have had offers of 5,000. Got some pictures in my garage if you want to compare rust..... Well just one picture but I could send you more if you wanted.

you can do some price research using the NADA guide.
Question is going to be what will it cost to get it restored to the level you want it to be.
One day my 73 will be back on the road!
