Default Water in headlight

Water keeps on accumulating in my right healight. When it gets warm, the water evaporates and clouds up the whole unit.

Any suggestions on a drying method?

I bought some "Permatex clear rtc silicone adhesive selant". I hope this will help.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Silica beads would help. They would be a PITA to get out though.

Not a bad idea.... Do you think I should just cut the sealant paste they have now, open the whole thing up and just towel dry it??

Yeah you can do that, and leave it in a box with the silica overnight or so.

Did you replace your stock bulbs? We did that with our 2000 gt and the same thing happened. Ford said that some of the bright white or blue lights get to hot for the housing.

The bulbs are stock, the housing is not - it has clear corners.

The black plastic back that holds the whole thing together has some kind of thick gray paste to seal it. It is much thicker than the thing i bought. Maybe 1/8 inch in diameter. Does anyone know what this is?

the only bulbs that get too hot, are the really fake cheap looking blue bulbs, the asian brands, they burn out your wiring. but the ones from piaa, "hyperwhite" or something like that, are fine ive had them in mine for a year and a half and no problems, never get hot. they run at the same wattage and omit around 4000k light colorage, or what ever you call it.

I had the same problem. What i did was take them out, use a blow dryer to dry them out, then i got some regular clear silicone and put a thin line over all seams, even the back. havent had a problem since and its been 2 years. You cant see the silicone at all because the header covers them, that and its clear silicone. I recommend this to all people with aftermarket headlights as well. Some people think you have to spend 500 on a set of headlights, but why bother when you can just do this. Saves money for the supercharger!!

Yea thats exactly what I am doing now. It seems to be working. However, there is some kind of grime thats left on the inside - probably from the dried out water. I doubt I will be able to get that out. The headlight is almost impossible to open - the gray caulk that they used as sealant is really adhesive, it would take hours just to pull the thing apart....

yeah, that im not too sure about. I did mine right away and it didnt have a chance to dry other than w/ the blow dryer and it dried clear. Maybe take a brush or something through where the light bulb goes in or something? Just throwing ideas out, but you dont want to scratch it so not sure. Good luck
