there are really 3 components to your exhaust (simplified of course)

1. coming off of the engine, there are headers (if youre a newbie, dont worry about these unless you got some BIG $$$ for install)
2. mid pipe- comes in 2, possibly 3 varieties H X and prochamber,(a mix)
youre car is stock with a catted H pipe, which means simply it has catalytic converters , 4 of them as i said, my H pipe is o/r (for off road, or no catalytic converters)
although this is illegal everywhere, some places dont have testing, like where i am from
3. catback, this is pretty much your final piping, mufflers, and tips (this is the most important part for determining sound or tone, while the midpipe being either catted, or o/r is gonna determine volume)

any more simplified questions? let me know, or pm me, but i think im getting out of here for the night) later
and yes, that does soudn kick ***, thanks for the compliment
remember MAC o/r H --130$
borla stinger catback 550ish$$ [:-]ouch!

don't rule out magnaflow or SLP. both offer great systems with unique sounds.

i like magnaflow, but thats my personal preference, but i still love the chambered muffler sound.

i was talking about sound preference not power improvment.

u will get a power improvment 3-4rwhp, if that, 3-4 hp's is not much at all, not enough to really feel. if your thinking that when you bult up your catback and take it for a drive you will feel a power increase, you will be let down. but it will sound really nice.

its an opinion question, its which ever system u think sounds the best. if i had to choose between borla and magnaflow i would go with the magnaflow. but i would not put nither on my car cuz i dont like that kind of sound, i love the real deep low mellow sound. performence there all the same.

Borlas make one of the best tones Ive heard on a mustang or cobra. But they are expensive ! I plan on swapping out my 2 chamber flows for them when I get some more green $$$.
