Default Excessive moisture in Exhaust

So its late fall here and it freezes every morning and I warm my car up for about 10 mins before football practice. Leaving at lunch time my buddy said that I sprayed him with water out of my exhaust. I just looked after work and seen that my mufflers are leaking, didnt smell it but I presume its water. I just clean my IAC and clean all the carbon out of that. What would be causing all the moisture? By the way I have flowtech shorty headers, mac off road h pipe, race bullets.

When da engine is real cold the choke comes on and of course there is water in the air and if things are not just right, you can have some water coming out the tailpipes.
Get it checked at a shop if you can't do it yourself as it will shorten the life of the exhaust system.....

Do I just need to check in the exhaust to see how much moisture is in it?

Think about it... Cold air on the outside warm exhaust on the inside. What happens to a cold glass of water? Condensation on the outside because there is cold inside and warm outside. Flip it around, and voila!! Moisture probably builds up after you have let it sit a while after you're through driving. As your pipes cool off the warm air inside may condense. Now if you are constantly spraying water then you have another problem.

Well thats reassuring, I guess if I would have really thought about it I prolly would have guessed what 02StanGT said, and yes it comes out after its been sitting.

I've always thought that if you have moisture coming out your tail pipes then you are probably getting a complete burn and your cats are working nicely. So hot diggidy you're runnin good. Steam is the prefered exhaust as opposed to water liquid.

It's a totally normal product of combustion. Some cars are more noticable than others. If your coolant isn't going down you don't have a problem.

No, it won't really. I've lived in Arizona for 15 years and we even see it here at this time of year......
