Default Has it seen salt?

Looking at a vehicle online. 07 GT 49k miles.

This to me looks like it was driven in salt/winter conditions, yes?

Looks pretty normal to me, and at 7,000 miles per year I doubt it saw much winter driving.

Are the bottoms of the doors and fenders OK? Any paint bubbling? Btw, I drove a 2000 3.8 for about 100,000 miles here with no problems.

Thanks for the reply. The car is about 2.5 hours south of me, so as of right now I have not seen it up close. I wanted to qualify the condition as best I could before a road trip with cash.

Its between this black 07 stock GT or a blue 07 M90-Roush GT.

The blue 07 definitely hasent seen salt but is $3,000 more (they both have similar mileage on them)

Black is my color of choice, but the blue Roush sure is nice too. I'm having a hard time understanding if that M90 is worth the extra $3000.00. Sure it would cost me more to install one myself, but........

Ugh, decisions decisions. I really want a salt free vehicle. How difficult would it be to clean up the corrosion under this black one?

I use NAPA rust treatment on our vehicles for any rust. A couple coats turns the rust back into metal (black) and seals it from rusting again. I sprayed door edges that got a few dings from bumping into stuff when opened and a trailer hitch on a Jeep, It worked really well. I think Duplicolor makes a similar spray.
I had Ford treat my 2012 when I got it, I have 60,000K year around driving and there is no rust under it. Not sure what they did but it works really well.

I usually look at the rear disc brake calipers to see if the oem anodizing is gone and the calipers are turning dark grey.
