I have a set of seats I want to put in. Of corse there is not a brkt for mustangs. Has anyone had luck with universal brkts? Do I have welded to stk rails? Use an adapter? Any help please.

Sorry gone for weekend. Seats are takata nice leather race seats. Wide sliders 18 inch side to side almost. Stang 15 inch seat rail spacing.

Saw some universal plates on ebay but 5 stores couldnt give me any dimensions. Lol. I no ebay jerks.

 

When it comes to Takata, it can be hit or miss...
Some seats are base mount, others are side mount.

Depending on which seats you got, check out 425 Motorsports.
They should have a model specific base mount that will accept universal sliders and VOILA!
