What is "MAF"

I've heard the term/name before and have no idea what it is....can someone please tell me what "MAF" is or stands for? Thanks.

Mass Airflow Sensor. Helps the computer to determine how much fuel to spray based on the volum of air that rushes past it just behind your air filter.

here is info on the MAF (no joke, it really has info on the MAF for your car)

Ok well it sounds like the MAF is in the Air intake. So if I bought a new MAC CAI can I use the stock MAF sensor or would I have to buy a new one? If MAF sensor gets damaged whats the avg. to replace?

You can use the stock MAF. The old one wont get damaged. If it does (which it wont) get one from the dealer to get you going again.

When you break it, send me an email and I'll sell you one for $50. But you're not going to break it. So don't worry about it.
