Default Shifting

New to this site so I'll tell you guys a little about my mustang. I've got a five speed manual, windveil blue 2006 mustang gt. I have the ford racing 62mm throttle body, JLT series 3 cold air intake, with a BAMA tune.

Now back to my question, I have always shifted around 2-3k RPM. I never look at my tac anymore because I can just feel and hear when I'm at 2-3k. But when I'm really getting on it I hit 5th gear so quickly.

So what do you manual mustang owners shift at while just daily driving vs really getting on it?

Shifting at 2000 RPM is good for my daily driving MPG. I like to lean into it a little bit to get to that point sooner. This has gotten me over 26 MPG, but I usually average closer to 23-24. That's without freeway driving. I have 2.73 gears.

When I'm feeling more aggressive, I'll push her up to around 3500, but I like to stay away from redline, as the engine has over 170,000 miles on it. Not sure if I'm being overly cautious or not.

Just putting around, probably right about 2500-3500, but I never let more than a few days go by without bouncing off the limiter, I did not but it for MPG's.
