one of my mufflers was recently pulled apart from my mid pipe when it grabbed a steal road plate. im just wondering if its bad to be running one side of the exhaust into a muffler and one not?

 

Well the backpressure would be different on both banks now,, but that shouldn't do much harm. I wouldn't wait around forever to get the problem fixed though.

If the exhaust is belching out from the muffler instead of the tailpipe, I'd check "where" it's being directed, to be sure all the extra under chassis heat isn't gonna melt something. And then there's that carbon monoxide poisoning thing to worry about... [:'(]
