I need a new computer for my 96 GT and I was checking stangparts.com and it says they have 1 with standard emissions and 1 with low emissions. Im guessing the lower emissions one is better but can anyone tell me for sure? A guy I know told me a while back when he bought his 96 GT that his was a slow one because of the computer in it. Ford made some alittle slower for gas mileage and then made others faster so the average mile per gallon was higher. Not sure if thats true or not but anyway.

 

Lower emissions would be for California and such is my guess. To comply with emissions, you're going to get less power out of it... go with the regular one.

 

I was thinking that the lower would be the better one because its less emissions. Hmmm I guess I'll have to call to make sure.
