clunk noise when shifting gears automatic transmition
Hey guys,
So I wanted to update you on what FORD did when I brought my car in for service.
The reason why I took my car to ford originally is because the check engine light came on after 1,200 miles (2016 Mustang GT). They had to replace the fuel injectors and that took care of the check engine light. Since I was there, I asked them to take a look at the "clunk" noise I am hearing when shifting gears from park to drive or from drive to reverse. I have x3 other family members with 2016 mustangs and their cars do not make that sound. Vista Ford said it is totally normal however I highly doubt that...... Has anyone had this issue? What should I do in this case? I looked on youtube and saw this video,
Any help will be appreciated,
Thank you and happy holidays

I didn't watch the video but clunking when shifting from Park to Drive or Drive to Reverse is usually a transmission solenoid (internal) or transmission mount (External) issue.
Have the service department look at it an document your complaint. Should the transmission fail it will be documented that you complained about the issue from the beginning...

So the guy that made this video just got an update from FORD, he has a 2015 mustang and appears to have the same issue as me. I cant really tell if its the same "clunk" because of the audio quality, but it is most likely the same issue. Anyways, FORD said there is an issue with the Valve Body, apparently the new parts will be available in Mid January 2016, incase anyone else has this issue. I will keep you guys posted, if you don't think this is the problem please let me know.
Thank you and Happy New Year
