FYI: SmartAlert users
I'm not sure how may of you are familiar with the SmartAlert service, but I purchased it from Ford's accessory site and had it installed by the dealership shortly after I got my stang in '08. It's the Ford version of LoJack. I paid about $350 or $400 for the lifetime service (as long as I owned the car). There was no additional fee for the standard service. I remember the Advantage service being just a couple hundred more (not $999 like the article says). I've also been fortunate to never have to use the service.
Well, I was going through some old internet links I had and was shocked to find that the home page for my service, a website that I was able to log into previously, and track my car, no longer existed. That website was www.myskyway.com. I don't remember ever getting a notification abot his change, but whatever. It could have gotten moved to my emails spam folder if it actually did come my way.
Unfortunately it didn't forward me to any new site so I was a bit concerned. Luckily, their phone number was on the keychain attachment and card I had in my wallet, so I gave them a call. Turns out, the service is now handled by SkyLink, though it took a couple phone calls to confirm they still provided the service.
Unfortunately, as of 12/2014, the online account, tracking and other services I had are no longer available, but per the last rep I spoke to, they would still track it if there was ever the need. Also, they said I would not be able to register on their current website as the service I had is legacy (not fully supported like their current service)
There aren't too many links to it any more but I did find this...

and

The company that it falls under now can be found here...

Note: They were not able to find my VIN in their database so I'm not entirely sure how they would be able to track it yet, but I plan on calling them again in the near future to speak to a supervisor to make sure things do work. I should still have my receipts and/or paperwork for when I got it so maybe that will help.
