Won't idle
 

Okay, need some suggestions on this one. I fiddled with the carb to smooth out the idle and it worked. Only problem now is that it won't stay idling. It'll work great if I am in the car and have the accelerator pressed down. Also found out while driving it doesn't like the lower RPM's (seems this pony wants to gallop, not trot). It'll run in the lower rpm's but the lower I go, the more it coughs. Once I stop, the pony does too...... So far trying to set the carb hasn't done anything to help.... Any ideas would be grand cause I usually drive this thing to work, and now I have to go around sporting in my wife's mini-van. (Ewwwwwwww) [:'(]

did you readjust your idle screw?

you may also have it a little lean causing it to starve for fuel at idle.
