I recently traded my jeep for a 96 mustang gt, when I bought the car the tank was cracked so I bought a new one with new filler neck tank seals, New fuel pump, and replaced half the fuel lines. Car was doing great, then a few days ago I over filled it (gas gauge broken)and I started smelling gas real bad. It went away, and then I went to put gas in it a few days later and it happened again, and the smell is back. I only smell it with the Windows down, I don't spill the gas, and there's no visible leak. I've climbed all over this thing looking for a leak and can't find anything. Any one have some ideas?
