Upgrade/Mod advice
My son has a 2007 V6 convertible, would like to surprise him with some mods; looking for advice for the following:
Dual exhaust
Cold air intake
Upgrade headlights (halo style)
If you have pics, please post, Thanks!

Dual exhaust is fairly easy and cheap, and gives a nicer exhaust note. All you need to do is cut the valence for the second opening. If you search in the 4.0 section you will find threads and the pdf for the cut. On the 2007 you can use any muffler for the GT because the size is the same. You will need to get either an X or H pipe, and will need to cut the existing Y pipe; again there are threads and maybe a sticky on how to do it.
A cold air intake that "doesn't require a tune" isn't worth the money unless you just want it to look pretty under the hood. And many of those end up throwing codes so that you have to get a tune anyway.

One other thing on the mufflers. Don't fall for paying extra for a set of GT500 mufflers. Up until the 2010 model year the GT500 simply used the same mufflers as found on the GT with an automatic so nothing special about them.
A set of GT mufflers from a manual transmission car is a cheap upgrade and has better tone than those from an automatic.

That is true for the 3.7L V6 2011+, but for the 4.0L V6 from 2005-10 the CAI and a tune do have an advantage over stock. Ford vastly improved the air intake starting in 2011.
But a CAI that "doesn't require a tune" isn't worth it. If it doesn't need a tune, then you didn't change anything. And the real power is in the tune.

Providing a complete tune up has recently been done (plugs, wires/coils, fuel filter, rear diff, trans etc) the 3 basic ways to start with mods is a exhaust, cold air intake, and SCT tune, that way the car can breathe easier and be programmed for any supporting mods
Personally not a fan of halo head lights but it's not my car
