No start
My husband tried to start his 2001 Ford Mustang, with no response. There was power But no fire. He thought that maybe the battery didn't have enough juice so he replaced the battery Still no fire. We Replace the starter, with the same result then we started looking at the fuses and discovered the number 6 starter relay fuse was blown. We replace the fuse as soon as he put the Ignition switch to on the fuse blew. We replace the starter relay and the fuse and tried again and diffuse blew immediately. We took off the alternator and to get over to autozone they tested it twice the alternator is fine. We have checked everything that is tied to that particular fuse and cannot figure it out. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.
Something on that circuit is shorting out causing the fuse to blow, your going to have to dig a little deeper to find out what it is. What is all on the #6 fuse circuit ?

The Number 6 fuse is the Starter relay fuse. We have replaced the relay and it still keeps blowing. The only thing left that is tied to the starter system is the clutch switch. I am going to try replacing that today. But I am stumped as to what else it could be.

There may be a short in the wiring between the relay and the fuse that's causing it to blow. Check the Starter relay plug and wiring to see if there are any portions of it that are exposed or pinched on body panels or the engine.
Also check the smaller wires that attach to the starter solenoid. The smaller gauge wires as I recall are kind of snaked by the exhaust manifolds and if the cable sheathing has started to peel away it will could cause wires to short out.
