Default Low rpm cutout question

my car seems to be running fine on the 91 race tune I got from bama, the only thing is around 1800-2000 Rpms it almost feels like it cuts out? Beyond that it runs great. Could this be the catless headers and 3 inch piping creating back pressure or loss of low end power? It just feels odd to me

Just for ***** n' giggles, reflash to stock tune for a day or two. Problem go away? If so, contact Bama. They will probably want you to do some data logging with your handheld device and email them the file so they can see what's going on and make adjustments to your tune.

If reflashing to stock tune does not clear up the issue then my first suspicion would be ignition related components such as plugs or coils.

Let us know how it goes. And for future reference, it would be nice to know what model year and engine we're discussing.

Are they long tube headers? Did you tell AM about the mods when you ordered the tune? Long tube require the tune be modified to account for them, otherwise you get weird driveability issues.

Yes I told them on the forum I had to fill out for the tune , I put the stock tune back on and it doesn't cut out like that anymore. Messaged them four hours ago about it and have heard nothing, they sure are a lot quicker when you first drop $400 it seems like. May just go the custom tune route from a reputable shop near me and be out $650.

It runs great on the factory tune, id honestly rather run that than the bama tune till it gets figured out. The factory tune feels better than the bama currently. So my next question is will it be okay to do on the stock tune?

What, run long tube headers? You never really answered that specifically but since you didn't shoot it down I can only assume... Anyway, if it's running good as-is and no trouble codes then I fail to see a problem.

Sorry yes long tubes, only codes that have popped up are the p0420/30 for the cats and they popped up on the bama tune also.
