ferarri didnt produce enough gtos to make the name legendary though. pontiac may have stole it, but they made the name what it is.</P>

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; FONT-SIZE: 8.5pt">Jugador TRUST ME MATE the GTO name is known throughout the world as a Ferrari NOT Pontiac. As for Ferrari not making enough GTOs to make the name legendary, this is totally ridiculous. Ferrarihasneverand will never be a mass manufacturer. Ferraris are specialty cars. Even with limited numbers their vehicles are renowned and admired throughout the world. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o></SPAN></P>

Inquire about what they think the GTO stood for. I bet that most replies would either be sports car racing class "GTO" or Ferrari GTO. </SPAN></P>

Thats a bit narrow minded dont you think? People around the world think America have three famous cars 1) vette 2) mustang and 3) viper (known for performance through old movies). Names like Pontiac GTO is virtually unknown to the general public around the world. The GTO name however is known throughout the world as a ferrari.

i dont care about the whole world though...you can call it narrow minded, but i dont see why i should call some car that they barely made any of and costs insane sums of money legendary, i just call it rare.

In my opinion it boils down to this,a car has to have apeal and as far as im concerned and anyone who isnt in love with the name or the brand of the car can see that it has no apeal. Now i will agree nice engine but as far as interior goes i too like to be comfortable but when i bought my car it was not for cushy seat i wanted to feel the power at the wheel and under my ***.I also like knowing that its almost impossible to mistake my car for any other. The same can not said about the new gto.</P>

Asa ford fan i dont mind if gm wants to screw up the return of one of there classics, but as a car fan in general i think they should be ashamed of what they have done.</P>

<P class=Msonormal><SPAN class=bold1><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; FONT-SIZE: 10pt">mach368 everyone is different mate with different tastes. There are many people who prefer power and luxury. Just ask the BMW, MB, audi, saab and vw owners. This car is a good thing for GM and America. While euro cars have grown in America, locals have been squabbling amongst each other- with aggressive, over styled and retro cars. Its time that GM counters this euro threat with a quality car at a cheaper price.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o></SPAN></SPAN></P>
