Do that or just hit the inertia switch located in ether in the pass. side trunk, or the passenger side kick pannel. pop it lightly with somthing, and the red button will pop up cutting off fuel. To reset, just press it down.

Sound like good compression. What did the plugs look like? They should look tan on the electrodes. Black is bad, means you are not burning everything, or oil is getting in there.
