Exclamation Having misfires! Help please!

Hello! I have a 2011 Mustang GT and I have run into an issue of some misfires going on. I had it parked for a little bit because my clutch went out and after getting that replaced. Everything was fine and it had been parked with pretty low fuel. I finally got it back on the road and didn't have any problems heading to the Gas station. But after I filled up to half a tank my check engine light immediately came on and I could feel it misfiring. I have had several people agree and say it sounded like bad gas but I figured I would post on here and check about getting some second opinions before just getting any sort of fuel additive and trying it and it not being the case. If there is any other information needed please feel free to ask and I will gladly give it. Thanks in advance!

Default Having misfires! Help please!

PrimalAstaldon, I would agree with the bad fuel. As a rule of thumb, I never let my fuel level go below half full before I gas up. Before putting a ton of dry gas in the tank, fill it up with high test and see if that corrects the issue. I am uneasy with dry gas because they sometimes contain additives that attack the fuel system components. People have told me they have used "HEET" with success. The other possible problem could be debree being pumped into your car from the gas stations fuel tank. If the high test, and HEET don't work I would suggest dropping the fuel tank and flushing the tank, and your fuel delivery system. I also only use 93 E-free fuel to keep the moisture level down.

Could be bad gas, but I'm more curious as to what trouble code popped up. Post what you got plz.

Also, what's "I had it parked for a little bit" mean? A couple of days, weeks, months? a few days or even a couple of weeks won't affect gas.

I'm betting that something didn't get plugged bag in when you were putting the tranny back in with the new clutch. O2 sensors.....

Getting the CEL Code like Z28KLR suggested will give us an idea of what's going on.
