Default Speedometer adjustment help

I have a stock 1986 Mustang GT with an AOD. During my upgrading of the car I changed out the original 85 mph speedo with a 140 MPH (Looking for a 170 Saleen if anyone knows where I can find one). Now the speedometer is off. Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't know what the rear gears are but every indication is they are stock AOD gears.

I've read how people needed to change a gear in the speedometer when they've changed the rear but I don't know if I need to do the same thing?

Thanks

Yeah, youll need the speedo gear to go along with the new speedometer. But make sure your know your exact gear ratio before you get the gear.
