What does it do?
does it allow the diff to slip more than with just gear oil or less?

Did you not put it in when you put the posi in??? If not....look out. It's a friction modifier. Makes the dif fluid so it doesn't ruin the clutch pack in the posi unit. It NEEDS to be in there. Repeat NEEDS TO BE IN THERE!

yeah, it's in there, but the rear slips a little more than i'd like. Wondering if putting in half a bottle or two bottles would make a difference. Basically, can i change the slip amount by varying the amount of additive and if so do i put in more or less?

I've always been told to use only 1 bottle. You might consider changing the fluid to Royal Purple, and 1 bottle of friction modifier. That's what I run. Royal Purple is one of the best gear fluids made, if not the best.

the purpose of the friction modifier is to keep the clutches in the diff. from chattering in turns
