After buying a 1984 Mustang GT, I purchased larger aftermarket wheels and tires. The problem is the front tires touch the fenders on a max turn. The new wheels are 17 in. and the tires are wider than original by 1.5 in. I was told, that the front spindles must be changed to what is found on '87 - '93 Mustangs, but these are very difficult to find. I was also told, the problem can be solved by "rolling" the front fenders. Any suggestions?
