Hey Everyone,
I bought a steering wheel badge for my 2018 Mustang GT. I never thought about it, but will putting the badge over the original pony badge affect the airbag system?

Not exactly sure what you mean by badge. Is it an overlay decal? If so, it should have no impact on the airbag system. If possible, please post pictures.

 

The big circular one goes over the pony on the steering wheel. It has an adhesive. Thanks

 

I don't think it will affect the functionality of the airbag as it is just an overlay, it should deploy as usual. Will it pop off and hit you in the face? Maybe. Will it be fatal, I doubt it, but am not licensed to say. If your main priority is safety, I would avoid modifying your vehicle. Ford has the most research and development into making sure the S550 has a 5 start rollover rating on the coupe. Other than that, drive safe and try to avoid collisions.
