Hello! Bit of a dilemma. I cannot manage to find a replacement timing cover for my 83 Mustang 3.8l v6. Not even rock auto has any. I was wondering if a 5.0 timing cover from that same year would work? If not, I would be delighted if someone could help me find one as I really can’t budget for a new motor.

 

Totally different. The 3.8 has the oil pump in the cover like the Buick it was copied from. The 302 is just a cover for the chain.
