Key fob locked in car.....HELP
My grandson (19yo) SOMEHOW locked his key fob in his 2018 Mustang GT. Of course, he never bothered to have a spare key made. We had just put it on the car lift to replace the O2 sensor, taken it down, and he started the car to check if code had cleared. He turned the engine off, got out and shut the door, and now, I assume I'll have to call the Ford dealership in the morning and see if they have any way to unlock it here without paying a wrecker to haul it to their shop. The problem is, he has to go to school tomorrow, so I'll have to loan him my truck to get to school.
Does ANYONE know of a way to get around this? I've already tried the little apps for android to unlock with phone, but none of them work. My life is in your hands, people.
Thanks

When that happened with my 2006 (I was away from home and accidentally locked the keys in the trunk) I called a mobile locksmith. They came out and were able to make a key on the spot to pop the trunk open with. - no chip so it wouldn't start the car only worked the lock. Took them about 45 minutes to do it.
