if its about performance, you cant compare them. the viper is out, but neither the mustang or corvette is. we could only guess what would be faster. ide have to guess for the corvette, because i read in motor trend, that the new z06 was supposed to have 500 hp with variable valve timing. right now, the 04 z06 is already as fast as the viper, with 100hp less. but we will just have to wait and see

here's how it goes... people that can afford a Corvette will not care about an '05 Mustang GT, because they will get the Corvette. People who have always like Mustangs no matter what will want the Mustang. People who have enough money for a Viper would probably get a Viper and a Corvette. If you want speed, the Viper wins, if you want cheap the Mustang wins... in between is the Corvette, which is why I love Corvettes so much. And the C6 looks like a GREAT cross between the C4 and C5.

Sure it is... it's not much QUICKER in the 1/4, but look at trap speeds. Z06 will do 12.1-12.3, whereas a Viper will break 11s anyday with a good driver. It's like the Z06 vs. Cobra... people will occasionally get similar times, but everyone knows what the faster car is.
