what is the best brand for headers. also are the shorty or longtube better. i think the longtube give more HP is that right???

they basically all perform the same. if you get some get powdercoated so they don't rust unless you wanna show em off... then get chrome (but chrome tends to rusts faster)

don't get LT's unless you're lookiong at kicking out 350+ HP other wise you might even loose HP and you'll loose low-end torque. plus most LT's aren't emissions legal so you gotta watchout.

Most people will say get long-tube headers. They will give some power, compared to shorties which will give very little over the stock headers.

Get long tube headers and a short mid pipe.

There's LOTS of posts around about LT headers... search or wait for people to come and give you advice.

While we are on the topic, does anyone have a 71-73 with a 351c and 4speed with headers on it? If so what kind of headers and how hard was it to get them to fit? I havent looked into it too much, but the previous owner of the car said he tried a couple and none of them fit. thanks.

I GOT A 93 STANG AND I HAVE BBK LT HEADERS AND I LOVE EM THEY ARE NICE LOOKIN AND ARE EASY TO PUT IN. AND THEY DONT HURT THE WALLET.I FELT A GAIN IN POWER AND KNOW
ALOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ONES AND THEY ALL LIKE THEM.

id recommend short tubes unless its a strip car. Shorties run cooler, are easier to install, and dont decrease ground clearence... Unless ur putting out insane power, u wont notice a difference IMO.

I have BBK lt's,pain in the *** install,but they tuck very nice and i have no clearence problem even on my lowered fox and plus you will never beat the sound of lt's....
